Zorth Speaks

Marissa moaned while Cherry prayed to the Earth Goddess that she wouldn’t wake until they had her at Grandmother’s. She slid into the driver’s seat thankful that they would be there in twenty minutes or less if she drove as she usually did. Although she was a careful enough driver, she just saw no reason to waste time when she could get there faster. Harry sat shotgun with her hand squeezing the oh, shit handle until her knuckles were white.

“I wish you wouldn’t do that because I might think you have no confidence in my driving.” Cherry said as she nodded toward Harry’s death grip on the handle above her head.

“That’s true, I don’t have any confidence in your driving, and I don’t have much confidence in these handles either since the one in your last truck came off when you rolled it.” Harry said remembering one of the many bad moments Cherry’s driving had given her in the few years since Cherry had started driving. You would think her driving would improve, but it didn’t. It remained a constant in life like nightmares.

“You’re not the one who has the right to complain about that. It slammed right into my head when you let it go.” Cherry recalled as she rubbed the spot on her head it had hit. Anytime it was mentioned it ached as if it had just happened yesterday, not two years ago.

“If you’re going to drive like a racecar driver, grow a set!” Harry said tired of the complaining. “You’ve forced me to. I have bigger balls than most guys because I don’t know one man that would willingly ride with you twice. That includes all those trying to get into your pants.”

“Not everyone can have big brass balls like you do my dear cousin. The male population is still trying to figure you out. You look like a girl, swear like a sailor, smell like a witch, and fight like a soldier. Oh yeah and eat like a pig. You’ve certainly taught men and women alike not to set their plates down anywhere near you.”

“I’ve just got a high metabolism and I’m always moving.” Harry said turning just a little pink.

“That’s true. I wish I could eat half what you do and be as skinny as you are.” It was no lie, Cherry could gain weight just looking at food.

Harry turned bright red. “I’m too skinny. I’ll never find a man.”

“Are you kidding me? You’re gorgeous, you just don’t know it. Tommy tried to ask you out last week, but you didn’t understand that’s what he was doing. Why is it so hard for you to believe that men want to go out with you?” It was true that Harry was slim, but some men preferred her boyish figure. Harry also had gorgeous blonde hair and big bright blue eyes. She looked like an angel.

“I’m not sexy like you are. You’ve got the boobs all the guys go crazy for. I heard Joey say you had the hottest bod he’d ever seen.
